We carried out an outreach where we sensitized the community of Komuge village, Kachumbala Sub County in Bukedea district on the role they have to play in the education of children, sanitization, family planning, youth empowerment, etc and during the sessions, we gave out soap, salt, sugar to 50 women, scholastic materials to more than 50 school-going children, sanitary pads to 18 girls, clothes to more than 100 women, men and children and pamper for breastfeeding mothers.

It was a great experience for both Amuno Rural Hub volunteers and the community it’s self. We also utilized the opportunity to officially register Amuno Foundation as a Community Based Organization in Bukedea District.

Girls of menstrual age miss school because of that time of the month. Children are given free education by the government lack even basic scholastic materials like books, pencils, pens, etc. Or even clothes to wear to school.   Amuno Foundation’s community outreaches tend to solve some of these day to day basic needs.
