Amuno Rural Hub believes that every child and family has a right to be protected against the causes and consequences of hunger and malnutrition. For many who go to bed hungry, a new morning does not ensure daily bread. To help children and families live hunger-free tomorrow, Amuno Rural Hub and partners invest in community assets, livelihoods, and longer-term development.
In order to provide more economic development services to the community, Amuno Rural Hub will open the Empowerment Centers for community members to take classes within our skill development department. These classes will train women annually in six-month to one-year increments, offering training in tailoring, knitting, hairdressing, catering, etc. The intensive courses create entrepreneurs with a very practical and business-centered approach. The students are first trained in a practical skill of their choosing, then are provided business classes, and finally are offered the opportunity to apply for funding to open their own enterprises utilizing their new capabilities!
