Our Work.

What We Do

We transform the lives of rural children in, Uganda, through holistic education and essential resources, empowering children aged 3-18 and their families to thrive. In two Programs; Education & Community Outreach.

Education Program

The Education Program at amuno offers play-based learning activities for children aged 3-18 to develop literacy and numeracy skills. Additionally, it provides comprehensive child support, including scholastic materials, school fees, lunch meals, and healthcare, ensuring children have the necessary resources to succeed in their education.

After School Project (ASP)

The After School Project offers a structured program that combines play-based learning with educational activities. Children engage in games, arts, and crafts, as well as literacy and numeracy lessons, to develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills. Additionally, they learn basic life skills such as music, debate, and computer skills, enriching their educational experience and preparing them for future success.

Child Support Project (CSP)

This initiative ensures that children have access to education by covering their school fees and providing essential scholastic materials. Additionally, the project offers healthcare services to ensure the children’s well-being, while also providing nutritious lunch meals to support their growth and development. The project aims to create a supportive environment where children can thrive academically and physically.

Community Outreach Program

The Community Outreach Program at Amuno goes beyond education to provide basic needs like clothes, shoes, and mosquito nets to families in need. Additionally, it offers a platform for parents to save money and access microloans, empowering them to start or maintain businesses and farms, thereby improving their economic stability and overall well-being.

Community Aid Project (CAP)

The Community Aid Project at amuno aims to uplift families in rural areas by providing them with female goats, which can be bred for additional income and sustenance. This initiative also includes the provision of basic home essentials like clothes and mosquito nets, addressing immediate needs for comfort and health. By combining these efforts, the project seeks to create a sustainable impact, enhancing families’ livelihoods and overall well-being in the long term.

Community Savers' Circle (CSC)

The Community Savers’ Circle at Amuno facilitates a savings and loans community group where parents save a dollar or more every week. This initiative enables them to access loans, which they can use to start new businesses, maintain existing ones, and support their farming initiatives. By providing this financial support and encouraging savings, the program empowers parents to improve their economic circumstances and provide better opportunities for their families.
